I was in half a mind to get all three colors but I had so many other items I wanted to purchase! I regretted not getting this piece in teal as a result! The material of this shirt dress is so comfortable and it fits perfectly with a black belt and casual wedges! I’m still definitely keeping this shirt dress for days when I feel like dressing simple but still want to look chic and good!

This top is a great staple piece to have in a girl’s wardrobe as the design is really very basic and versatile. The buttons and stripes make it different from the common basics which we see on sale in retail brick and mortar stores, which is a plus point. I can imagine myself pairing it with dark fitted jeans, shorts, denim skirts, flare pants and the list goes on. I  feel that the tank top is very suitable for casual outings to the beach, sports activities, school or just running errands. It’s really a grab and go top yet not sloppy looking top! It’s definitely my value-buy from Hollyhoque along with the Zara-inspired Knit Cardigan, kudos to Hollyhoque and Sheila!

I do not own any shirt dress at all, and when I saw this one on Hollyhoque‘s Facebook, it became a must get for me. As I already have many navy or bluish colour clothings, I decided to get it in brown. It’s the first brown piece in my wardrobe and I must say, I love it! The material used isn’t so thick, and it’s suitable for Singapore’s weather. The length is just nice for me too!

The knit material of this tank top really made smiled to myself! I must say the material is comparable to a cardigan i got from Zara recently. It’s so soft, smooth and comfortable, and at an affordable price! In fact, the colour combination of this top caught my sight first as I prefer it as compared to soft pink. A really lovely combination i must say! It’s definitely a top that you will reach for over and over again!

Due to my petite frame, I was afraid that it will be loose for me at my hips. But thankfully, it fits me nicely with acceptable allowance. The band at the waist area is really stretchy so no worries of it being too tight! I must add on that it helps to conceal tummy a little with the sweet pleated details. A must-buy if you haven’t got one! It’s perfect for presentations at school with heels, or simply dress down with flats or sandals for a casual day out!

A piece of advice to those who are stuck between teal and navy: Teal is definitely a safe alternative if you have too many navy-coloured clothes like me! The unique shade of teal will definitely spice up your wardrobe. As it is meant to be have a slouchy and loose fit, the details at the shoulder gives a more structured look so that it compliments the whole look in order not to make you look sloppy!  This shirt dress is a deviation from the usual more formal-looking shirt dress seen elsewhere!

I’m not a person who usually goes for knit material items as I feel that knit might make the person wearing it feel warm after a while. However, since I know that Hollyhoque is an established name known for its good quality apparels, I decided to give this piece a try. True enough, I wasn’t disappointed at all, and was in fact, surprised at how comfortable the knit material was. I could just sleep in it, really! I love how the v-neckline shows my collar bone, yet not too low.

The versatility of this piece has made it a staple in my wardrobe because it’s great for wearing to school, where I spend most of my time in air-conditioned rooms. Whenever I wear this dress, I do not need to bring a jacket along. At the same time, the knit material doesn’t make me feel too warm, so I can wear it outside of school as well.

We know that lately, Singapore has been experiencing intense sunshine at one moment, and heavy showers the very next. Again, this piece keeps me comfortably dressed even when there are such sudden changes in the weather.

Lastly, by pairing it with a pair of slippers or sandals, this dress is casual enough to be worn to school, especially if you’re in a hurry but still want to look decently dressed. To glam up the dress, pair it with a pair of heels, accessorize with a slinky chain belt and bangles!
 
I love the richness of the baby blue colour too, which is another colour added to my wardrobe. I’m really lucky to have purchased this piece, and also bought a second colour (in dusty purple) from a seller online!

It was love at first sight! I like it as it’s so versatile, you can wear it on its own or even with a spaghetti top inside if you are shy. You can even match it with a pair of high waist shorts for a different look! The top is so comfortable and it’s priced at a reasonable price too! I’m so glad I bought this top and it’s definitely one of my best buys!

I have been looking for a basic sleeve dress like this for the longest time so I knew I had to get this one when I saw it on http://hollyhoque.com! I was initially afraid that the dress would be too short on me but it’s just nice.  The royal purple colour brightens up this basic and is perfect for school and casual weekends out. It’s easy to wear and the thick cotton is cooling and comfortable too.  My mom and sister even told me to get it in another colour!

I matched this dress with the belt that goes with everything and can be worn both at the hips and the waist. You don’t even have to punch multiple holes as it can be worn at any length due to the woven design. It’s an absolute steal!
